Designing Life On Purpose: How the Principles of Placemaking Can Influence Our Personal Wellbeing
Placemaking is an approach to the planning, design and management of public spaces. But behind the ideas of placemaking are ideas about what it means to be human. Candi Shelton explores the 11 principles of Placemaking and helps us see how we can apply these to our personal lives to help us design the kind of life we really want.
About the Speaker
Candi Shelton is a producer, writer, and creative consultant. She believes creativity and strategy were meant to be best friends, and this is the approach she takes in her work with clients from across a wide range of disciplines and industries. Whether working with a small startup or a multinational corporation, Candi’s superpower is idea synthesis and assimilation: distilling ideas, seeing their connections, and knowing what to do with all of it. She loves helping businesses and brands connect to important ideas in ways they can attach, internalize, and execute. Candi lives with her family in Nashville, TN, where she avoids honky tonk bars as much as possible.
