You are techY – Why you are the perfect person to start a tech company!
You are capable of starting your own tech company. You might think you don’t have the right background or gender or skin color or connections. You might think that you’ll start one “someday” but the world needs what you have to create right now.
Great founders have one thing in common – they do not have all the pieces to the puzzle. They have help and they leverage other people’s skill to build something special.
Join Ellen Twomey as we dive into the techy mindset for non-technical founders. You might just walk away with your very own tech company!
Meet Ellen Twomey. Ellen is a Technology Learning Coach. She serves as the Managing Director of Fugitive Labs, launching ventures, shipping products, and investing in startups. She’s also the founder and podcast host of You are techY (listen here!) helping moms and women gain tech skills and confidence.
She’s a mom of 5 (yes, 5!) and she moved to Atlanta this summer with her family from North Carolina. She loves the energy of the tech startup vibe in Atlanta generally and ATV specifically. She can’t wait to help you find and grow your techy side.
About the Women + Tech Meetup
Second Wednesday of Every Month from 12:00 – 1:30pm
Ladies of Atlanta, it’s time to come together to make the phrase “Women in Tech” obsolete! Join us as we openly discuss personal and professional growth, challenges in the workplace, community involvement, and whatever else is on your mind. Our Village can be the one to make women in tech the status quo.
To empower women in tech through a kick-ass network, intentional teaching & purposeful community because it does take a village. Our goal is to make to Atlanta the number one place for “women in tech” (because clearly it’s not Silicon Valley).
