Join us at Atlanta Tech Village on August 25th for the Dell for Startups Atlanta Pitch Competition in partnership with Dell Technologies and Atlanta Tech VillageThe Dell for Startups Annual pitch competition where we celebrate 8 startups from various Startup Communities all across the U.S. to compete for over $500k worth of prizes. As part of the tour, we will be stopping in Atlanta.Who should attend?

  • Founder must be available to pitch in person on August 25th.

  • Startups will be selected by Dell Technologies and Atlanta Tech Village

First Place Winner: $15,000 in Dell Products through Dell Advantage RewardsSecond Place Winner: $10,000 in Dell Products through Dell Advantage Rewards (Crowd Favorite)Both first place and second place winners will be able to move on to the next round of pitching for a chance to win another $40k in prizes.

Jasmine Crowe-Houston, Founder & CEO of Goodr: Jasmine Crowe-Houston is an award-winning social entrepreneur, children’s book author, TED Speaker, and determined leader working to make the world a better place one cause at a time. In 2017, after years of feeding people experiencing homelessness from her own kitchen, Jasmine launched Goodr, a sustainable waste management company that leverages technology to combat hunger and reduce food waste. She has been featured on CNBC, Oprah Magazine, Forbes, Fast Co., New York Times, and named by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the top 100 influential female founders. In 2021, Jasmine released her first children's book, Everybody Eats, that focuses on character building and educating kids about food waste.

Robin Bienfait, CEO for Emnovate & Founder of Atlanta Tech Park: Robin Bienfait was the chief enterprise innovation officer and senior advisor for Samsung, responsible for building strong partnerships with large global customers to deliver enterprise class services. Robin joined Samsung with over 30 years of experience in mobility, security, business development, enterprise sales, wireless network operations and engineering. As a global intrapreneur, Robin launched Samsung Business Services and advised on the B2B investment strategy. Now as CEO for Emnovate, Robin is advising and providing software solutions to emerging businesses. 

Tami McQueen, Vice President Marketing at Panoramic Ventures: With 15+ years of experience in driving results for hyper-growth organizations through process-driven, scalable and repeatable marketing models, Tami’s expertise centers on go-to-market strategies, brand development, engagement and immediate growth. Previously, Tami co-founded 31south and Summit House, a transformative creative marketing agency. Prior to her leap into entrepreneurship, Tami joined one the fastest-growing B2B SaaS startups in the U.S. as the first marketing hire at SalesLoft. She has also led Global Social Strategy for Women Who Code, the largest and most active community of engineers dedicated to inspiring women to excel in technology careers.

 

Chris Moreno, Vice President of Real Estate & Channel Partnerships at Xeal: Chris Moreno, also known as “Mr PropTech”, is a Real Estate & startup evangelist with 3 exits in the Real Estate, Logistics, and Consumer spaces. Chris loves working with founders to solve what many call “big boring” problems in the largest asset class in the world. Chris is currently the VP of Real Estate Partnerships with Xeal Energy focused on accelerating the adoption of Electric Vehicles. Chris has taken companies from 0 to 1 and has helped founders along the way as they navigate the future of work, proptech, and hardware. Chris, his wife Carlisle & their 2 kids now live in Chastain Park, and love tennis & golf. They have invested & advised 80+ early stage founders primarily focused on Real Estate, Proptech, Climate, FinTech. Chris has travelled the world and believes Atlanta is the greatest city to build a startup!

 

Erica Stanley, Director of Engineering, Play Promotions, Partner APIs at Google: Erica is an entrepreneur, technologist and community organizer with over 20 years of experience. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies, including Boeing, FOX Interactive Media, Turner Broadcasting, and Oracle, as well as successful startups. Erica is passionately working towards gender and multicultural inclusion in tech, via education and exposure to opportunities. Erica founded the Atlanta network of Women Who Code, where she currently leads new developer workshops and organizes monthly tech talks, hack nights and networking events for women technologists. In addition, Erica collaborates with companies within the Atlanta tech community to help improve strategies around diversity and inclusion. Erica also sits on the advisory board of 100 Girls of Code where she helps develop new strategies and curriculums to expose girls to technology.

Christian Ross, Founder of Happy Talks and Co-Host of Atlanta Startup Village: A veteran in the real estate space, Christian first joined Atlanta Tech Village in 2014 as an employee of Village Realty. She is now back at the Village as the founder of Happy Talks, which is designed to be a “life buffer” for families by providing needed support for aging relatives.

Paraj Mathur, Senior Associate on the Panoramic Ventures and Co-Host of Atlanta Startup Village: Paraj is a Senior Associate on the Panoramic Ventures Investment Team. He focuses on pre-seed and seed investments, as well as multi-stage crypto and web3 investments.

We will open the night with a short panel discussion on the startup ecosystem in Atlanta, featuring the leaders of several metro Atlanta startup hubs:

Karen Cashion, President & CEO, Tech Alpharetta: Karen Cashion is CEO of Tech Alpharetta, whose mission is to help grow technology and innovation in Alpharetta. Karen is also the founder, Chairperson, and past president of the Greater Alpharetta Tech Network (“GATN”), and an attorney with twenty years of experience as a commercial litigator and corporate technology lawyer. Karen was also recently named a Georgia Titan 100 CEO for 2022.

Burunda Prince, COO, Russell Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship: A native Atlantan, Burunda Prince previously served as The Farm’s, NBCUniversal’s tech accelerator, Managing Director prior to becoming the COO of RCIE. A proven leader of complex organizations focused on exceptional outcomes, Ms. Prince brings to RCIE the rich experiences in Fortune 500 corporations, management consulting, engineering, and civic engagement. She uses her considerable talents to embrace, challenge and improve ecosystems, helping entrepreneurs make their mark on the world. 

Aly Merritt, Managing Director, Atlanta Tech Village: Aly Merritt is currently the Managing Director of Atlanta Tech Village, and formerly the Head of Community at SalesLoft, where she had been everything from product management to CX to Chief of Staff. Aly has spent the last decade focused on diversity, equity and inclusion in the Atlanta startup community. She previously organized ATL Startup Village, and sporadically blogs about tech and startups at AlyintheATL.com. ________
