Village Workshop | Don't Get Pwnd: Proactive Strategies that Will Save Your Company from a Cyber Attack
About this event
The word "pwned" has origins in video game culture and is a leetspeak derivation of the word "owned" due to the proximity of the "o" and "p" keys. It implies that a cyber bad actor has dominated or conquered your company's security.
Some attacks are so devastating that they will shut your company down... permanently.
Why let someone else determine how your story ends? Why not be in control?
If you want to be the one who writes your journey, come with me on an interactive voyage where I will show you how to prepare for an attack, proactively.
This workshop is ideal for founders and other business owners/leaders.
Takeaways
You will learn:
- How to think like a bad actor
- How to assess the likelihood you will attacked
- How to lessen the likelihood of an attack
- How to take control of the situation from the start
About the Facilitator
Michael Anaya is a techie who’s been in cybersecurity for over two decades. His journey began as a software engineer. Then, he pursued a career with the FBI as a Special Agent. There, Michael knocked down doors, arrested cyber bad actors, and helped keep people safe.
He later "took my talents" to the startup ecosystem. Now, Michael helps build, refine, and scale teams for companies in the cybersecurity space! His passions are being a top-tier dad, helping others, speaking in public, and making cyber simple. He's also partial to cheesecake and bourbon, but not together… well, come to think of it, it might be a killer combo! TBD.
