About the Workshop

In the workshop we will go over what is currently measured for productivity- KPIs (and what those look like in various settings).

It will lead into "what if I were to share with you that our brains are actually wired for productivity, but in a different way," ask the open ended question "who here has ever had a shower thought or great idea while out on a run or walk?"

We'll explain how tactical feedback helps our brain "unlock" and tell the story of teaching student athletes with learning disabilities academics and walk through what we did in order to do it.

So why is it so important that we allow breaks and creativity when solving a big problem? We'll dive into the neuroscience of creativity (with supporting research)

The audience will do a "group thinking exercise" and do breaks of breath work or movement in between.

The group will discuss how they felt when going straight into a task from having someone talk with them vs going into a task after unlocking their brain via tactical feedback?

At the end, audience will get tactical tips and tricks for strategic board meetings that utilize tactical feedback.

About the Women + Tech Meetup Series

Ladies of the Village, it’s time to come together to make the phrase “Women in Tech” obsolete! Join us as we openly discuss personal and professional growth, challenges in the workplace, community involvement, and whatever else is on your mind. Our Village can be the one to make women in tech the status quo.

Mission: To empower women in tech through a kick-ass network, intentional teaching & purposeful community because it does take a village. Our goal is to make to Atlanta the number one place for “women in tech” (because clearly it’s not Silicon Valley).
