What you’ll do:
GoGuide is looking for a business development lead to join our sales team. As a business development lead, you will be responsible for recognizing and making effective connections with business owners in the outdoor industry that fit our customer profile, developing an understanding of their needs, and effectively communicating those needs to our Head of Sales.
You will serve as the first impression of our company to prospective clients, help them understand the value of our product provides and build trust in our brand.
This role reports to the Head of Sales. Ideal candidates have prior experience in business development and enjoy creating genuine connections with business-minded outdoor professionals.

Here are some key functions you’ll perform in this role:
- Identifying quality clients based on very specified criteria from their websites, and preliminary interactions.
- Create meaningful connections via phone calls, email, and direct messages.
- Move qualified clients further along the sales process, and act as an advocate for their needs.
- Become an expert in identifying the type of client you are talking to and the pain points that they may be facing.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, offering strategic guidance and best practices to help them succeed in their competitive landscape.
- Track and report on key metrics related to sales activities.
- Provide feedback and partner with the Product team to ensure a deep understanding of our client’s needs.
- Collaborate closely with all internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and support.


Top qualities & experience we’re looking for:
- Experience interfacing with clients in some capacity and moving qualified clients further
through a sales process based on needs.
- Deep understanding of different customer personas within the outdoor industry
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and listening skills, and a proven track record of success driving sales.
- Excitement for the outdoor industry and a deep interest in understanding the needs of business owners within it.  
- Experience with Salesforce, teams, or general CRM’s

As a member of the GoGuide sales team you will be given the resources and training to understand exactly what a client that benefits from our system looks like and how you can help them be successful. You will be shown how to approach these clients, build trust and rapport with them, and act as a trusted consultant to their business. You will be given expectations and
goals that are specific and achievable, an understanding of how to reach them, and be held accountable to those metrics.
