What you’ll do:

Grayscale is looking for a part-time UX Designer to take our user experience to the next level. This will be a contract position for around 20 hours per week, with the potential for a full-time opportunity in the future. As a UX Designer, you’ll shape the evolving functionality of our B2B SaaS platform into a responsive, intuitive, and compelling user interface. You will work cross-functionally to ensure products meet our customers’ needs. An ideal candidate has a demonstrated ability to expand upon existing ideas and solutions as well as explore new ones to create high-quality, user-centered visual experiences. 🙌

Here are some key functions you’ll perform in this role:

• Collaborate directly with product and engineering to plan and execute the user experience of new application features and redesigns via wireframing
• Conduct user research and iterate rapidly on user feedback
• Translate user insights into design decisions, creating user personas and journey maps
• Advocate for the end user throughout the development process
• Help to create and maintain a design system that promotes consistency and usability across all product touchpoints
• Stay current on the latest UX trends and best practices

Top qualities & experience we’re looking for:

• 2+ years of user-centered design experience for a SaaS product
• Deep expertise with UX design tools like Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, and/or Whimsical
• Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail
• Ability to work in a dynamic, changing environment with minimal direction
• Understanding of the balance between functional and aesthetic design elements
• Proven experience in creating wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to communicate design ideas
• Experience with agile software development
• The ability to pivot quickly between ideation/innovation and quick/scrappy execution
