Women + Tech Meetup - Innovation Incubation: Where ideas get real

Innovation is a process. And anyone can learn it.

Good ideas show up in every organization. The hard part is knowing which problem to solve, testing what might work, and getting people to care enough to act.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the D.E.E.D. framework (Define, Examine, Experiment, Discover) for getting from a real problem to a plan people will act on. Then you'll put it to work with brainstorming games, a fresh look at everyday objects, and a Show & Tell where your group's best idea has to win over the room.

You'll walk out ready to turn "What if?" into "What's next."

About the Faciliator: 
Erin Peterson is the founder and CEO of Scout Stories, an Atlanta storytelling studio that helps leaders find the story people need to hear, then make it land. Scout partners with organizations like Goodwill, MARTA, the Fox Theatre and Atlanta Tech Village.

Before Scout, Erin spent 20 years in newsrooms as a producer, executive producer and Director of Innovation. Her work changed a federal law and VA policy, was featured on HBO's Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, and won 28 Emmy Awards. Her speaking style blends journalistic clarity with contagious conviction.
