Congratulations to the 2019 Village Mentors and Advisors

December 6, 2018

In a world where 9 out of 10 startups fail, many entrepreneurs will do whatever it takes to succeed. Some of those sacrifices can be quite extreme while others can be a quick choice in humility. As a Founder, asking for help or guidance can be a game changer.  70% of companies who are mentored last longer than 5 years.  Those are pretty good statistics in a world that gives you a 10% chance off the cuff. When a startup comes to the Village, we promise to provide them with the resources to give them every chance to succeed; one of those resources is our Mentor and Advisor Program. I am particularly proud of the group we have selected for 2019.  We promise the best, and I am excited to deliver.

Mentors

A curated group of highly esteemed, successful entrepreneurs and businessmen/women who provide a resource for Village entrepreneurs to connect with and learn from. They have “been there, done that,” and are invested in the opportunity to help the next generation of entrepreneurs succeed. We consider it a long-term, authentic relationship that walks the startup journey alongside Founders in a blend of a personal and professional relationship.Alan UrechBen DyerBrooke BeachCharles PaparelliDevon WijesingheEric VassGeoff WilsonJewel BurksJohn GravelyJon HarmerKatharine MobleyKelli ErtelKim WilsonM. Advisors

A curated group of highly esteemed, successful subject matter experts who are an amazing resource for our entrepreneurs. They are sales wizards, senior developers, lawyers, accountants, SEO experts, marketing gurus, and VCs who are committed to offering support and free advice to our community. These relationships are considered short-term connections with specific subject matter needs and requests. After meeting with one of our Advisors, our members are able to walk away with goals and direction to better serve their startup and team.Asia MatosAT GimbelBenjamin RudolphCarl JohnstonDavid KurkjianJames ScottJoshua SiegelKerry TracyKevin SandlinLauren PatrickMichael HortenMike GomezNick ForesteScott LopanoSteve BachmanAndrew TabitPatrick TerryWayt KingYuri EliezerDerrick DeCarloDerick JarosRyan Peisel

A group of passionate, successful professionals who have a particular interest to serve mid-level team members (managers, directors, etc). These relationships can be longterm or seasonal but are meant to help young professionals create and meet goals, seek guidance, and gain perspective from someone who has been there.Karen HoughtonJim BerryhillKathryn O'DayCarlo MartinezChristian RossJohn DuisbergIf you are a technology startup and you are wondering where you should call home, this list should be your answer.  If you are a Villager, do yourself a favor and contact one of these incredible people.  They are been there, done it, succeeded, and desire to help you achieve your dreams.
