Our Favorite Events of 2019

2019 was a year full of events, when we say full we mean full. Like 703 events full. That is 2 events a day, 7 days a week full. From pitch competitions to weddings, we learn something new with each event but we wanted to highlight some of our favorites of the year here.

Pitch Atlanta

April 15th - Event Center + Community Center

Investors from across the country descended on Atlanta this past April 15th for our inaugural Pitch Atlanta event. This sold out, invite-only gathering at Atlanta Tech Village connected 20 of the best local startups with 82 accredited investors from across the nation. Read more on the full article.

GaryVee + Vayner Sports Meet & Greet Event - Superbowl

January 31st - Event Center

When Atlanta hosted the 2019 SuperBowl, we had the opportunity to host GaryVee & VaynerSports. Complete with live music, NFL football player signings and a panel led by GaryVee himself, it was a day to remember here at the Village.

January 27th - Event Center + Community Center

The Village is all about paying it forward (it’s even one of our core values). We loved hosting 48in48 in both the Event Center & Community Center in 2020. Centered around a 48-hour hackathon-style event, 48in48 connects local nonprofits with skilled marketing and technology professionals. At the end of those 48 hours, 48 local nonprofits have new, professional, websites.

4th Annual ATP Social

April 18th - Rooftop

It was a night to remember with our friends from Atlanta Technology Professionals. There were delicious drinks and amazing food. This social event was a great opportunity for the tech community to come together to network and meet new industry leaders. 

Acuity Con

October 29 - 30th - Event Center + Rooftop + Lenox National Boardroom

Village Startup, Acuity, hosted their very first AcuityCon at the Village in the Fall of 2019. Founder Kenji Kuramoto said "What started as an all-hands meeting for our company of remote employees, ended up becoming one of the most notable events in our industry in 2019.  AcuityCon brought together our entire team from all over the country, 17 of the top software companies in our space, industry media attendance, and even some of our clients for 2 days of the most productive relationship building our company has ever experienced."

Brittany + Daniel Marsh Wedding

October 20th -  Rooftop

Daniel & Brittany Marsh hosted their wedding reception on the Rooftop here. They enjoyed the best view of Buckhead as they ate, drank and danced the night away. Personal events are some of our favorites and we feel so lucky to be a part of these special moments in people's lives so often!

Make 2020 the Best Year Yet by Open Atlanta

December 8th - Event Center

This inspiring day long event was full of amazing speakers from Jesse Itzler to a panel of local business rockstars. Topics included Building Your Life Resume, Developing High Growth Leadership Skills, How Digital Can Enable Authentic Brand Storytelling, & Building a World Class Brand.
