Announcing the Smith & Howard Scholarship

We have several founding sponsors at Atlanta Tech Village, each participating and giving in their own unique ways to support our growing community. When Smith & Howard came to us expressing interest in getting involved, they wanted to create something that had a direct and meaningful impact on Village members. Together we brainstormed the things Villagers can't live without....coffee, razor scooters, snacks....then our focus turned to ways of removing friction so that the startups here can focus solely on building their businesses. Thus the Smith & Howard Scholarship was born! This 6-month scholarship covers all membership fees for the selected companies, allowing them to devote all of their scarce resources to growing their business, in addition to providing mentorship and connections to the S&H network.Candidates needed to exhibit growth potential, demonstrate a willingness to receive advice and guidance from the mentor team, present a clear vision for the future, and be an awesome person/team. There were so many strong applicants, but two winners emerged, Village Defense and vCruit. The announcement of the Smith & Howard Scholarship winners is definitely a gong-worthy moment. Congrats Nathan, Sharath, Alston, and Louis!
